An Acumen EPM Microsoft Project 2010 Health Check, Best Practice Workshop and programme of one to one and closed class MCTS 77-178 Microsoft Project 2010 Managing Projects CATALYST recently consolidated a client’s planning, tracking and resource management for their Portfolio, Programme and Project Office (P3O).

Previously the project managers had used incompatible management tools, some using Excel, some paper diaries and some post-it notes with a few already using Microsoft Project.  The recommendations from the Microsoft Project Health Check identified considerable gains in P3O efficiency by a uniform adoption of a consistent project management practice - with Microsoft Project 2010 being the best option.

By using a Microsoft Project 2010 Best Practice Workshop in conjunction with one-to-one and closed class MCTS 77-178 Microsoft Project 2010 Managing Projects CATALYST all P3O team members received the skills appropriate to their role and the client had an adoption of 100% usage.  Benefits included resource usage increasing  from 65% to 94% by implementing a resource pool and project governance and reporting being significantly enhanced by effective project planning, baseline and tracking.
